CPR and First Aid Blended Learning

American Heart Association CPR First Aid Certification (Blended Learning)
The Blended Learning Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED class is a hybrid learning course that consists of an online CPR First Aid class followed by an in-person CPR First Aid Skills Session with an AHA instructor. The Skills Session is a hands-on test and demonstration of the skills the student learned during the online class. Students receive the same American Heart Association “Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED” certification as in the full in-person class. This online CPR First Aid class meets OSHA requirements for CPR and First Aid training and certification. It is appropriate for both initial CPR First Aid certification and CPR First Aid renewal.
The AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course covers training and certification in first aid, CPR, and AED (automated external defibrillator) use for adults, children, and infants.
The following topics are covered:
- First aid basics
- Medical emergencies
- Injury emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Preventing illness and injury
- CPR and AED use
- Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
During the Blended Learning CPR First Aid Skills Session, participants will have an opportunity to review the cardiac arrest algorithm and first aid skills, as well as practice CPR and using an AED. Then participants will be tested on CPR and first aid scenarios.
